"The British Emabassy invites applications for the Climate Change, Press and Communications Officer will be integral to a large Climate, Energy and Sustainable Development Team at the British Emassy in Brasilia. You will be responsible for montoring press coverage on climate, energy and sustainable development issues in Brazil, writing press releases and press articles relating to these issues; communicating UK action to combat climate change; maintainging the internet and intranet sites, and organising and liasing with the press for high-level visits.

Essential Requirements: University degree in either Communications, Jornalism ou International Relations; relevant professional experience, including experience in communications, campaigns or media work. A good knowledge of the media in Brazil and some knowledge of climate change issues. A wide established network of contacts. Experience doing representational work, including with the media. Excellent presentation and communications skills. Communication skills are required in both spoken and written English and Portuguese, as well as strong IT skills (Microsoft Office). The successful candidate will be a strong team player, flexible and a good multi-tasker and be an excellent communicator and influencer.

Monthly Salary: Salary depending on experience. Start date: ASAP.
